This one-page table summarizes strategies for pharmacological interventions, psychosocial interventions, and service-team collaboration in each stage of IDDT treatment. . . . The table is accompanied by an article by Christina M. Delos Reyes, MD, which provides a brief, easy-to-read introduction to the IDDT model's approach to psychiatric services for people with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders who are actively using. Dr. Delos Reyes also provides a few tips from her clinical practice for psychiatrists and other prescribers.
