There are substantial bodies of knowledge underlying the various elements addressed in this manual: The clinical interventions or practices themselves; the technology of knowledge transfer and adoption of innovation; the process and structure of change management; and the increasingly complex issues of financing services and supports for all people with disabilities, but especially for those with addictive and mental disorders. The authors have attempted to remain true to that wealth of knowledge, but did not set out to write an academic treatise. Instead, this is intended to be a userfriendly, how-to manual.
