ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
Research in other states shows that IDDT has a significant impact upon several indicators and outcomes for people with co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders. The IDDT Affiliation Code Initiative gives agency providers, county boards, and State of Ohio stakeholders the capacity to collect data and to examine indicators and outcomes systematically for people who receive IDDT services in Ohio communities. Knowledge from data analyses will be used to inform and advance public policy, community service plans, and day-to-day service delivery.
How It Works
Data for IDDT services is entered into and retrieved from the State of Ohio's Multi-Agency Community Services Information System (MACSIS), a database used by the Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), the Ohio Department of Alchohol and Drug Addictions Services (ODADAS), and other serve systems for service-enrollment and claims processing. The first phase of this initiative is focusing on three questions (indicators and outcomes):
- Service utilization
- Cost
- Quality of life
