Below is a list of events that are currently available from the Ohio SAMI CCOE & the Ohio Supported Employment (SE) CCOE, both of which are programs of the Center for Evidence-Based Practices at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (see "About" section of this site).
About Our Events
The Ohio SAMI CCOE & Ohio SE CCOE offer periodic regional meetings (professional peer-networking opportunities) and a variety of training events in locations throughout the State of Ohio, both in-person and as videoconferences. These events are designed to equip direct-service providers, team leaders, clinical supervisors, administrators, and policymakers with basic and advanced knowledge and skills for implementing and sustaining the Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) model and the Supported Employment (SE) model. Community advocates are also encouraged to attend our events.
Each event focuses on one or any combination of the following:

Meaningful supervision of Motivational Interviewing skill development requires evaluation, clinical feedback and planning. This workshop is designed for clinical supervisors with prior training and experience in Motivational Interviewing. Resources will be reviewed for content and applicability in clinical supervision for development of supervisees’ Motivational Interviewing competencies. Exercises will facilitate familiarity with available resources and promote action planning that enhances current supervision strategies.
IDDT Implementation Strategies for Program Leaders

This two-day training event is designed for program leaders and service-team leaders who are involved in the process of implementing a high-fidelity IDDT team. It offers practical ideas, resources, tools, and methods for succeeding with implementation. This event will emphasize interaction and collaboration among participants. Program managers and team leaders will engage in problem-solving and action-planning scenarios in small groups, they will also learn methods for effective supervision of service-team members. . . .

Motivational Interviewing is a way of working collaboratively with persons, to assist them in accessing their intrinsic motivation to change behaviors that contradict their essential values and interfere with the achievement of their life goals. Motivational Interviewing is both a philosophy and a set of strategic techniques. It is an evidence-based practice with a broad range of applications.
Northeast Region IDDT Network Meeting

The Regional Network Committee allows for the development of regionalized plans for training and other aspects of CCOE service delivery. This structure assists the implementation, development, and fidelity of integrated dual disorder treatment services in Ohio. Meetings are held quarterly in a convenient location, staffed with a CCOE representative, and chaired by members of the committee. Participants are representative stakeholders involved in the delivery and use of services.
