WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Individuals in community-based and hospital-based organizations who provide, supervise or administer healthcare and behavioral healthcare to people with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders should attend this event.

The conference is designed for those who want to acquire more information and practical skills that pertain to providing treatment for co-occurring mental and substance use disorders and Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT), the evidence based practice. The conference is also designed for those seeking more contact with the professional peer-networks that will help develop, sustain, and expand integrated treatment in their organizations and communities. LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ DAY 1, TUES, SEPT 16:
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the current research supporting integrated evidence based practices.
2. Describe stage-wise interventions for individuals and organizations.
3. Identify challenges, facilitators, and resources for implementing integrated treatment on a range of teams and settings such as homeless, urban, and hospital based consumer populations.
4. Support recovery through relevant clinical interventions using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, consumer and recovery centered treatment planning, and strength-based counseling.
5. Apply knowledge for developing workforce skills using supported employment, use of fidelity assessment linked with outcomes management, strategies to engage difficult clients, ideas for persuasion groups, and discuss areas of success and problem solving with peers.
6. Develop and strengthen existing professional networks.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES/ DAY 2, WED, SEPT 17:
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
1. Apply stage-wise interventions and current research to individuals, teams and organizations.
2. Describe the model for co-occurring treatment and tobacco cessation practice.
3. Identify challenges, barriers and strategies for all stages of implementing integrated treatment in a range of teams and settings such as urban and rural and develop ways to succeed.
4. Discuss effective strategies and considerations when providing integrated treatment for multi-cultural consumer populations, issues related to partnering with the criminal justice system, and professional and ethical issues in the clinical relationships with intensive treatment teams.
5. Use innovations for developing workforce skills in support of recovery through relevant clinical interventions and approaches such as, contingency management, psychopharmacology, working with addictions, and vicarious trauma.
6. Employ fidelity action planning, organizational stages of change, and stage-based team development.
7. Develop and strengthen existing professional networks.
